Our Staff

Nancy Gorkin, Proprietor
Nancy Gorkin received her degree in horticulture from Michigan State University, before moving to the East Coast, where she developed and refined her knowledge of New England gardening at some of the area’s most distinguished gardens and horticultural education centers. At Long Island’s historic Old Westbury Gardens, Nancy worked as horticulturalist and education coordinator, developing a museum, educational programs, and display gardens.

Kyle Riccoboni, Creative Director
Kyle began his career in visual merchandising at Saks Fifth Avenue. A life-long gardener, he combines his wide knowledge of plants with a keen eye for color and design—and a keen ear for listening to his clients—so he can set the scene for any look or atmosphere desired.

Jenny Della Ripa, Floral Designer
Jenny acquired her love of plants in her mother’s garden in Denmark—a garden the two still maintain. Flowers were a part of her family, which is why she specializes in weddings. “Weddings are pure joy”—and that’s the feeling she cultivates in her arrangements.

Karen Stadtmiller, Floral Designer
Karen began working with flowers as an after-school job and has been in the business ever since. Her passion for wedding bouquets crystallized on her own wedding day, when she made her bridesmaid throw her bouquet—Karen wasn’t giving up hers.

Stephanie Hutter, Container Design Specialist
Stephanie, a native New Canaanite, received her Master Gardener Certificate from the University of Connecticut Extension Program. Her containers are “plant playgroups,” where plants with personality have space to play well together and grow into their glory.
